Terms and Conditions

Last updated 3 August 2026

These are the terms on which you may use Irhium. They apply to everybody: the couple who creates an album, the guests who scan a code at the reception, and anybody who signs in for any other reason. By using the service you accept them.

Please read this part even if you read nothing else.

Irhium is early software, provided as it is, with no guarantee that it will work, keep working, or still exist next year. We will try hard — but a wedding happens once, and a promise we cannot keep is worth nothing to you afterwards.

Keep your own copies of your photographs, and download everything from your album before the 30-day deadline. Do not let this app hold the only copy of anything from your wedding day. That is the single most useful sentence in this document.

Who we are

Irhium is operated by [LEGAL NAME], NIF [NIF], with its registered address at [ADDRESS], Spain. You can write to us at [CONTACT EMAIL]. These details are published to meet article 10 of Ley 34/2002 (LSSI-CE), and these terms are the general conditions of contract for the service at irhium.com. You can save or print this page at any time.

What Irhium is

A wedding album that guests reach by scanning one printed code. A couple creates an album, prints the code, and guests upload photographs and video from their own phones without installing anything. The couple can see and download everything; guests see their own uploads, and everybody's if the couple opens the album up.

Paid albums also include a seating planner, a memorable link to print, control over how the code looks, the couple's own name and logo on the pages guests see, a message shown once uploads close, and more than one album at a time.

Where this product is today

We would rather be straight with you than sound established.

Irhium is new. It is run by a small operation, on modest infrastructure, and it has not been through years of weddings. It is provided as it is and as it is available: we do not promise that it will be free of faults, that it will be reachable at any particular moment, that an upload will always succeed, or that the service will continue to exist. Features may change. The service may stop.

There is no service level agreement and no support commitment. There is no guarantee of recovery if something goes wrong. We do not make backups on your behalf that you could ask us to restore from.

None of that is an attempt to escape responsibility — your rights as a consumer are set out further down and we are not trying to sign them away. It is a description of what you are relying on, so that you can decide how much to rely on it. Given what this app holds, the right answer is: use it for what it is good at, and keep your own copies.

Accounts

To upload or to view an album you need an account. It takes a name, a surname, an email address and a password, or one tap with Google. You must give real details — the whole point of the album is that the couple knows who each photograph came from — and you are responsible for what happens under your account.

You must be at least 14 to have an account of your own. Below that age a parent or guardian has to act for you.

There is no password reset email, because the app sends no email at all. If you forget your password and have not linked a Google account, we cannot get you back in, and the photographs in your account may be unreachable. Linking Google takes one tap from the account menu and is the only recovery route that exists. Please do it.

Photographs are deleted after 30 days

Every photograph and video is deleted 30 days after the wedding day, on the free plan and the paid plan alike. The count runs from the date of the wedding, not from when the album was created, and it moves if the wedding date moves. Deletion is automatic and permanent: the files are removed from storage and there is no copy behind them.

The album itself stays, so a guest who scans the code later reads an explanation instead of an error, and so does the seating plan. It is the photographs and video that go.

Download everything you want before then. The app shows a countdown on the album as the date approaches, to the couple and to guests, but the responsibility for downloading in time is yours.

Uploading, viewing and deleting

  • The couple sees everything in their album, labelled with who sent it, can download all of it, can delete anything in it, and can delete the whole album.
  • A guest sees their own uploads and can delete them. They see everybody else's only if the couple has opened the album, and even then they can view but not delete.
  • Deleting an album deletes every photograph in it, including photographs uploaded by guests, immediately and permanently. Guests are not asked first. If you are a guest, keep your own copies.

What you may not upload

Do not upload anything you do not have the right to share, anything unlawful, anything showing a person in a way they would obviously object to, anything sexual involving a person who is not obviously an adult, or anything intended to harass somebody. Do not use the service to distribute material that has nothing to do with the wedding.

If you host an album, you decide who you hand the code to, and you are responsible for that. Tell your guests that photographs will be shared with you and with each other, and point them at our privacy policy — that is the point of it being a public page.

We can remove content and close accounts that break these rules. We would rather do it after a conversation than before one, but with a wedding in progress we may act first. If you want to report something in an album, write to [CONTACT EMAIL].

Your photographs remain yours

You keep every right you have in what you upload. You give us only the permission the service cannot work without: to store your files, to make the smaller copies used to display them, to show them to the people entitled to see them under the rules above, and to deliver them to you or to the couple when they are downloaded. That permission lasts as long as the file does, which is at most 30 days after the wedding.

We do not use your photographs for anything else. Not marketing, not examples, not demonstrations, and not training a machine learning model of any kind.

Premium, and paying for an album

Premium is charged once per wedding, at 20 €. It is not a subscription: there is nothing recurring and nothing to cancel. It unlocks the features listed above for that one album.

We are not taking payments at the moment. Until we are, Premium features stay locked and no charge can be made. When payments open, everything in this section applies, and the price will be shown to you before you commit to anything. If the price changes, the change applies to purchases made afterwards and never retrospectively.

Payment is handled by Stripe on Stripe's own pages. Card details never reach us. Stripe sends the receipt; we do not, because the app sends no email.

Your right to withdraw, when payments open

As a consumer buying digital content online in Spain you normally have 14 days to withdraw from the contract (Real Decreto Legislativo 1/2007). Digital services are the exception to that: if you ask for the service to start immediately, expressly agree to it, and acknowledge that you thereby lose the right of withdrawal, the right ends once we have started to perform.

That is what buying Premium is — you press the button and the seating planner and the rest unlock at once. So when payments open, checkout will ask you to confirm both of those things before it takes any money, and if it has not asked you, the 14-day right applies in full and you can withdraw and be refunded. We would rather tell you that than rely on you not knowing it.

Refunds

Beyond the withdrawal right, if the service does not do what this page says it does, write to [CONTACT EMAIL] and we will sort it out. Refunding a payment removes Premium from that album — the paid features lock again — but it does not undelete anything that has already been deleted, and it does not tear up a seating plan you have already made.

Wedding planners

A wedding planner can send couples to Irhium through a referral link and keeps a share of what those couples pay. That arrangement is agreed separately with each planner and is not part of these terms.

What matters to a couple is this: a planner's referral gives them no access to your album. Not your photographs, not your guest list, not your seating plan. If a planner's name or logo appears on the pages your guests see, that is branding and nothing else. A planner can only see an album if you make them the host of it or invite them as a guest.

Availability, warranties and liability

We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the service, including the whole of it. Where a change would affect an album that has been paid for, we will give what notice we reasonably can.

Beyond the mandatory rights described below, the service is provided without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for photographs that are lost, corrupted, not uploaded, deleted by the couple, deleted at the end of the retention window, or unreachable because a password was forgotten. We are not liable for indirect losses or for the disappointment of a day that cannot be repeated.

Nothing here limits the rights Spanish consumer law gives you, and nothing here excludes our liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. If any limit in these terms is unenforceable against a consumer, it does not apply to that consumer, and the rest of the terms stand.

We do not limit our liability for what we do with personal data. Your rights there are set out in the privacy policy and in the GDPR, and they are unaffected by anything on this page.

Ending it

You can delete an album at any time, which deletes everything in it. You can ask us to delete your account by writing to [CONTACT EMAIL].

We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, that is being used to harm somebody, or that we are legally required to close. If we close a paid album for a reason that is not your fault, we will refund it.

Changes to these terms

We may amend these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they were last changed, and we will flag a significant change in the app. If you keep using the service after a change, that is acceptance of it. If you do not accept a change, delete your album and your account — and download your photographs first.

Law, and where a dispute goes

These terms are governed by Spanish law. If you are a consumer, you can bring a claim in the courts of the place where you live, and nothing here takes that away.

We would much rather hear from you first. Write to [CONTACT EMAIL], and we will answer.
